ABOUT

I'm an artist living near Denver, Colorado. I concentrate on landscapes and figurative work. I work almost exclusively with oil paint. I'm not a professional artist, but an amateur who makes his living in other ways.

I'm not represented by a gallery. Instead, I give my work away to people living in the Denver area. When I'm working I post "Free Oil Paintings" on Craigslist on the first Saturday of the month, and I then send the painting to whom I choose.

I've been oil painting most of my life, having first been influenced by landscapes by the Impressionists and post-impressionists, like Van Gogh. I eventually moved on to American Impressionists such as Wendt, Redmond, and Gamble. Then to such American artists as Wyeth and Hopper.

Recently I've become more interested in figurative work, including the paintings of Eric Fischl and John Singer Sargent, to name just two.
